The Markham Sport Council (MSC) was incorporated in 2005, as an independent membership-based, volunteer-led, not-for-profit organization.
Vision
The Markham Sport Council plays a central role in the promotion of physical activity and sport to the entire Markham Community.
Mission
The Markham Sport Council is a community resource dedicated to the betterment of Sport in Markham.
Objectives
Promote- We work with our community partners to promote opportunities for active involvement in sport and physical recreation and advocate for the improvement of the delivery system of sport in Markham.
Participate - We encourage participation in the sharing of experiences and resources and work to increase capacity and improve both access to and the quality of sport.
Celebrate - We celebrate sport achievements, sport and recreation leaders, volunteers and all related participants of sport in our community.
